Our Mission and Values
Our Mission
We are committed to embodying Christ’s compassion and loving-kindness by understanding and preventing personal and institutional violence against survivors of childhood sexual abuse (CSA). We believe that every person is made in the image of God and deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and kindness (Genesis 1:27).
Our mission is to support survivors through resourcing and advocacy as well as equipping faith communities with the knowledge and tools necessary to respond to the unique needs of survivors. Through our advocacy, resourcing, research, and education programs, we seek to increase awareness and promote the prevention of spiritual abuse, childhood sexual abuse, and all forms of oppression (Luke 4:18-19; Isaiah 1:17; Zechariah 7:10; Psalm 103:6).
Our commitment to Christ-centered values informs everything we do. We are guided by the belief that God’s love calls us to take action against injustice and to stand in solidarity with those who have experienced harm (Isaiah 61:1-3). We strive to create a community where survivors of abuse can find healing, hope, and restoration.
We believe that by working together with individuals and communities, we can help faith communities become places where all people feel safe, valued, and respected.
